What's your daily diet like?
Everything in moderation! I can LIVE on cashew milk protein shakes and avocados but that doesn’t mean I won’t treat myself to a cookie or two!! Life is all about balance.
What's your go-to form of exercise to combat stress?
Yoga, yoga, yoga!! I am obsessed with both the mental and physical benefits of yoga! It teaches me so much about myself - my body, my strengths and weaknesses, my insecurities, and even my capacity for growth. Yoga is so communal in practice, but also so personal in nature. It also serves as a mental safe haven away from the rigorous academics of Georgetown University.
How did you first get interested in fitness?
I grew up a competitive dancer, and when I stopped I knew I needed to find something else to do. I found that yoga, particularly yoga sculpt, allowed me to incorporate both the flexibility and strength of dance. I love sweating, fitness simply makes me a happier person.
What are your top health and wellness goals for 2019? Any advice for others trying to set some of their own?
My advice to those setting new year’s goals and resolutions is to include some goals that are attainable and reasonable. It is never a bad thing to dream big, but those little feelings of success will help jumpstart your motivation to reach those dreams!
A few of my fitness goals for 2019 include:
1. Cut out dairy as much as possible
2. Work on drinking a lot more water
3. Plank for 2+ minutes every single day
