What's your daily diet like?
My daily diet consist of a well balance of; lean protein, simple carbohydrates and healthy fats. Very tradition meal plan format with heavy breakfast, mid snack, lunch, snack, and dinner. Any late night cravings drink protein or my daughters gold fish. 😩 Only drink defiance fuel water and almond milk. Also take daily vitamins that keep me balance with hormones and any deficiencies of my diet.
What's your go-to form of exercise to combat stress?
Finding a good trail and just run with a good podcast playing or listening to the nature. Phone on no disturb lol
How did you first get interested in fitness?
I had my daughter when I was 20 in college. I found myself in a really dark place with how I looked at myself after having her. Not liking how my body looked and postpartum. Also the demands with being a full-time student and employee was overwhelming me. My lack of confidence and self image drove me to the gym where I felt empowered because I could control how hard I pushed myself and a sense of power. Everyday I took my 5 month old daughter to the gym with me at the top of the track where we stayed in a corner. I would find workouts and go for it. Slowly is become a habit for me and transition me into the fitness industry.
What are your top health and wellness goals for 2019? Any advice for others trying to set some of their own?
My top health and wellness goals for 2019:
- Increase any deficiencies in my hormones
- Strive for more of a holistic lifestyle (eat more greens)
- Create workouts that make me FEEL STRONG
- Rehab my shoulder
- Hire & commit with a therapist & trainer
I would recommend to take some time out of your day and actually write down what your goals are and be clear on why these are you goals. Put it up somewhere in your home to remind you daily!
