Laura’s an instructor at Y7 in New York, where she teaches high-intensity, high-heat yoga classes full-time (with a little modeling on the side). Originally from a small town in the South of France, Laura kicked off her modeling career at the age of 18 and was able to travel the world from Paris, to Hong Kong. The secret to her glow? Drinking water infused with lemon and ginger every morning.
What's your daily diet like?
I eat everything !!! I am French so I probably eat a little too much cheese but also try to eat a lots of greens. I am crazy about broccoli and cauliflower (I know I'm a weirdo).
How did you first get interested in fitness?
My dad was a professional rugby player and he now is a PE teacher and personal trainer. So I spent my childhood jumping, running and dancing around. I played tennis for 7 years, gymnastic and dance for 15, later on I discovered yoga and of course I HAD to make it my full time job.
What's your superfood?
Does cheese count? Just kidding! I don't think I have a go-to superfood but I do drink lemon and ginger infused water every morning.
What are your top health and wellness goals for 2019? Any advice for others trying to set some of their own?
Last year I ran the NYC marathon for the first time and it was a real challenge for my body so this year I am focusing on Rest. I always had a tendency to over do it so in 2019 I am trying a slow down when I need to and be a better listen to my own body. Rest is as important as your training itself.
If you are setting some goals for the rest of the year, first make sure they are achievable and then don't look back. If you decide you will do it, you will. Stay optimistic because what you think become what you see!
