Lisa’s a seasoned instructor at Soulcycle and Carrie’s Pilates Plus. When she’s not leading a packed class, she likes to keep her workouts simple and streamlined, sticking to a combination of the treadmill and weights. Her go-to stress reducing workout though? Napping!
What's your daily diet like?
It really depends on the day / how much I'm working out / what type of workout I'm doing... etc. I eat what my body tells me to & don't restrict anything - yet because my stomach is sensitive, I tend to shy away / cut back on gluten and dairy. I, most certainly, eat it every once in awhile.
How did you first get interested in fitness?
I actually found fitness when I was working in the entertainment industry and stressed out of my mind! One night, instead of going out to dinner or drinks, I just went right to the gym. I couldn't believe how cathartic my jog was that evening. It became my outlet.
What are some of your favorite songs/artists to listen to when getting psyched up for a workout?
There are FAR too many: Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Missy Elliott, Travis Scott...I always throw some big EDM beats in there as well.
What's your superfood?
Wendy's Chicken Nuggets? (1/2 true...)
What are your top health and wellness goals for 2019? Any advice for others trying to set some of their own?
I want to be the best version of myself possible. It's not specific to 2019 - it's ongoing. For those who are looking to set their own goals, I say: 1. Start small 2. Appreciate the journey because you may still get to your destination through a different road. 3. Do your best. Most importantly 4. Be kind to yourself - if you're doing you best, that's truly all you can ask!
