Year of Ours Ditches the Desert for ‘Flowchella’

Year of Ours brought the heat last weekend with a three-day, pop-up event at Silver Lake’s Y7. Combining the hot yoga studio’s mission of accessibility with YOS’ inclusive team spirit, the weekend was packed with soul-filled sweat sessions, a Women in Music panel, and a ton of our favorite freebies.

Flowchella brought all the desert vibes with none of the long lines or sunburns.

The party kicked off on Friday with a Y7 class full of our friends, all flaunting our new collection of neon brights.  It was a sea of bendy Neon Green and Coral Reef bralettes and bike shorts, along with our new summer favorite -- the Eden Onesie.

On Saturday, YOS kept the hot yoga classes rolling and also hosted a discussion of badass women in music. Moderated by Billboard Magazine Editor Selma Fonseca, the hour-long conversation included Capricorn Clark, creative director and brand strategist; Smiles Davis, producer and DJ; and Jasmine Solano, a DJ, TV/Radio host and founder of Unity in Color.

Throughout the day there were also all sorts of health and wellness vendors set up throughout the space, alongside Year of Ours’ new summer line -- on display and ready-to-wear.

Wrapping up on Sunday with a packed Festival Burn Y7 class highlighting all acts from Indio, we are already wishing there were TWO Flowchella weekends. If you missed the party (we missed you!), make sure to check out all our new Summer looks on our website
