Summer in Los Feliz...
Our founder's guide to her neighborhood...
This summer season we're taking it back to where it all began: Los Angeles. We’re kicking it off in the Los Feliz village, where I lived when I started Year of Ours out of a small craftsman home ten years ago. The neighborhood was a big inspiration: morning walks on Hillhurst to get coffee, weekend hikes in Griffith Park overlooking the city, tennis lessons at the Vermont courts, watching late night movies at the Vista Theatre. Los Feliz has always had a special community feeling and is home to many small businesses that feel unique inside the big city of LA.
I recently moved back to Los Feliz, now with a toddler, and I’ve been inspired all over again by experiencing the neighborhood with him. This is my LA story, and I’m excited for Year of Ours to share LA stories from other neighborhoods all summer long, because there's no place like summer in this city.
Stay tuned!
